These guys are two of my favourite people in the world and on Sunday they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. They got married last year in a beautiful intimate ceremony overlooking the sea just outside of Cardiff in The Fig Tree restaurant Penarth. Cerys and Nathan got ready in their adjoining houses, -yes they're next door neighbours!- and we all then headed to The Fig Tree on a big red bus. It was touch and go whether we'd make it in time for the ceremony as the bus driver decided on a detour but we made it in the nick of time. Cerys wore the most cosy looking big knit cardigan knitted for her by a friend and then swapped into a fluffy grey jumper to nip outside for some pictures next to the sea. Nathans 3 gorgeous girls were bridesmaids and looked super stylish in their mismatched jumpers and Harry Potter socks (nice one Margie). The ceremony was an emotional one and Roger, Cerys' dad's speech had us all in tears. I love weddings like this, cosy, family focused and full of love. Cerys' sister Sian did her make up despite having a tiny baby and she looked absolutely beautiful.
After the ceremony we bussed it back to Cerys and Nathan's house and celebrated in style in the kitchen with more speeches from Nathan's mum and the best man. The cutting of the camping cake was accompanied by a confetti canon then we headed to the lounge and danced the night away to Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary' in rip roaring karaoke stylee. Let's do it all again, how long until you can have a vow renewal?
Cerys and Nathan's wedding highlight film was one of the first ones I ever did and I still love it! Have a little look and then go and check out my latest one Anna and Edwin's Kenyan British Fusion wedding
