 A bit about me

When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me snuggled on the sofa or strolling round our all time favourite holiday destination -Blackpool- with my little family.

​

I won't lie, I like to be comfy. I'm sat writing this in an oversized cardigan, soft, soft joggers and most importantly I'm in bed under a brushed cotton duvet cover (if you don't know what that is google it and then press go to checkout).

​

​

I love to travel with my film camera (and for weddings!) and countries I've visited and shot in include Kenya, Canada, France, Vietnam and India. Still on my bucket list is South America and Hawaii and I love Las Vegas.

.  Hobbies include sipping on a brew (that picture is misleading, I much prefer a tea bag to loose leaf)  drooling over dinosaurs or trying to keep my cactus collection alive.

"How have you managed to kill a cactus?!" - a  genuine quote from my tree surgeon brother.

I'm the proud owner of 2 year old Theodore Rex, T-Rex for short, he is -thank god- a big fan of dinosaurs, are you beginning to see a theme here? Good

Alongside people, I'm drawn to flowers and greenery, I don't have a reason for this, I JUST LOVE FLOWERS!

How I shoot weddings 

​

Never thought you'd be getting married? Neither did I. In fact I'm still not married. My other half would rather chop his own fingers off than get married so I'm destined to live life with a 'boyfriend' - gutted. 

​

I'm not one for staged cutting cake shots, hell you might not even have a cake! Or bridesmaids, or a best man or even a 'wedding outfit'. I specialise in small intimate ceremonies and I pride myself on providing relaxed, spontaneous coverage with beautiful portraits. By the end of it I'll be one of the family.

​

I will probably call your mum 'Mum' unless like me you call your own parents by their first names, -Suzie and Petie in my case- I'd love to sit on a table with your mates so I can get that rip roaring laughter when one of them fashions a selfie stick out of two forks and a knife - yes this has happened! 

​​

I want you to be totally comfortable with me so I won't pester you for formals or take you away for two hours but if you want a couple of shots with your family just ask. Things are bound to go wrong but we'll take it all in our stride and as Jeff Goldblum wisely pointed out in 'Jurassic Park' (all time fave film)

My favourite colour is Virgin Mary blue and you can find it festooning the walls of our 'religious hallway' along with other such kitsch iconography and pictures of The Queen (she's a goddess isn't she?)
